At White Coat Financial Inc., our process is similar to a Dentist's process:
1.) Initial Intake Consultation (Examination)
We analyze where you are at and where you would like to go. We take the time to learn about your values, career, family, current financial situation, and what your financial goals are. If we mutually agree that we are a good fit we move onto the next step. 2.) Financial Advice & Recommendations (Diagnosis)
We create a financial plan that is all-encompassing of your goals, based on our first meeting. Recommendations vary from client to client but often include a budget, debt reduction plan, insurance recommendations, investment advice, mortgage pre-approvals, tax reduction strategies, and more!
3.) Implementation of the Advice (Treatment)
Together, we implement any recommendations made. This step may be completed in a single meeting or even a series of meetings spanning across a number of months, depending on your needs.
4.) Financial Review & Monitoring (Check-Up)
As your primary "financial care" specialist, we do a minimum of three annual check-ups with you. Think of our financial planning process as long-term care instead of a one-time visit.
The first meeting is always free of charge. From there, our fees depend on the scope of the work involved and the complexity of your financial situation:
For any insurance and/or mortgage needs: We do not charge our clients a fee. Instead, we are paid directly from the insurance or mortgage company upon approval of the insurance policy and/or mortgage.
For one-time comprehensive financial advice: Financial advisory fees start at $450+ tax/hour depending on the scope of the work involved and the complexity of your financial situation.
For ongoing comprehensive financial advice: We charge a flat monthly fee based on your net worth. This way, our advice remains bias free and is tied to increasing your overall wealth.
In summary, our fee structure is flexible to meet the needs of our clients and all fees are disclosed upfront in the first meeting.
We are based out of Vancouver, British Columbia but we are licensed and work with clients in BC, Alberta, and Ontario.
Yes, all of our meetings are done via phone or video call.
We run a virtual financial planning practice so all meetings are completed via phone or video call on a day/time that is convenient for you. Moreover, we don't have traditional banking hours so we are able to work around your busy schedule.
This leads to lower fees and more convenience for our clients.
